On October 13th, 2002, a large water supply line ruptured on the 6th floor of this 22-story office building. Water inundated five floors, soaking carpet, wallboard and ceiling materials. The building owner contacted Ellis immediately. Using moisture meters, Ellis first identified the extent of water damage. We then retained a contractor to strip away wet materials, dry interior wall spaces, reinstall new wallboard, repaint and carpet all affected areas.

 

The entire five-floor project was completed in approximately 3 weeks – before mold growth had an opportunity to form in interior wall spaces. Sampling conducted by Ellis upon completion indicated the effectiveness of the remedial efforts.
